General Description of the Role
In order to reorganize its Logistics Department, MdM is seeking to hire a Logistics Manager and a Logistics Assistant.
They will both be based in Nairobi and will be in charge of the management of the department (for the Manager) and to ensure a smooth and reliable support to the projects in Kenya and if required in Bosaso, Puntland (Somalia)

Key Duties (in the respect of MdM rules and procedures)
- Supply chain management;
- Construction / rehabilitation management;
- Stock management;
- Fleet management and Transport;
- Premises & Equipment management;
- IT and Communication;
- Team management;
- Security & reporting.
Candidates Profile
- Proven experience in Logistics management in multicultural context (minimum 2years);
- Ability to work with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision; ability to work under-pressure and to respect deadlines;
- Proven technical skills (supply, transport, premises and vehicle maintenance, etc.);
- Good team leader and ability to train staff;
- Good networking skills;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- Good IT knowledge (software and hardware);
- Comfortable with problem solving and excellent organizational capabilities;
Logistics Assistant
Key Duties (in the respect of MdM rules and procedures)
- Procurement (quotations and purchases);
- Stock follow-up;
- Fleet maintenance and movements (includes driving);
- Premises maintenance;
- Assets and furniture follow-up:
- Security and reporting.
Candidates Profile
- Former experience as Logistician in multicultural context (minimum 6 months);
- Ability to work with short deadlines;
- Technical knowledge in IT, Fleet and maintenance, etc;
- Ability to work with a team;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- Flexibility and high level of organization;
- Willing to travel to the field when required.
