Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company Limited (KIWASCO), a fast growing Company providing water and sewerage services within Kisumu municipality wishes to recruit competent and qualified personnel in the following key positions:
Head of Technical Services

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in the technical division to ensure provision of high quality services to customers;
  • Steer the development of departmental policies, procedures and action plans ¡n line with company missions and objectives;
  • Support engineers ¡n ensuring quality and timely response to requests, in compliance with company standards and procedures;
  • Ensure that the technical audit is carried out on time arid remedial action taken;
  • Ensure infrastructure of water and sewerage services ¡s operated and maintained to the required standards;
  • Provide technical expertise and advise in the acquisition of capital assets and on ail technical matters, contractors and consultants;
  • Oversee the planning and co-ordination of quality maintenance and engineering (capacity works) related issues; and
  • Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time
Qualification:
  • Masters in Engineering
  • Bachelors degree ¡n Engineering
  • Must be a Registered Engineer
  • 8 years experience with at least 4 years at senior managerial level
Head of Finance and Commercial
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop departmental policies, procedures, actions plans and budgets;
  • Ensure timely, complete and accurate reading and billing of services arid revenue collection;
  • Ensure the provision of comprehensive commercial information systems, including up-to-date customer database;
  • Develop and implement systems for positive customer relations management
  • Promote new ideas and business solutions that result in extended service to the existing and new clients;
  • Formulate the company financial strategy and ensure it is properly implemented;
  • Formulate and implement sound financial and accounting policies, procedures and systems;
  • Manage finance relationships with external agencies and ensure compliance with company standards;
  • Prepare budgets and periodic financial performance reports; and
  • Develop long-term business strategies and operating plans.
Qualifications:
  • Masters in Business Administration
  • Bachelors degree in Business or Finance
  • CPA-K or ACCA
  • 8 years experience commercial services with at least 4 years at senior management level
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and planning skills
Head of Human Resources and Administration
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures aligned to company strategic business goals;
  • Oversee the implementation of an effective human resource management information system;
  • Manage the full spectrum of human resources function, including recruitment, induction, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training & development;
  • Develop and implement effective performance management systems;
  • Develop and maintain updated job descriptions and competency profiles for the company; and
  • Oversee maintenance, storage and security of records s well as coordination administrative support services
Qualification:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource or related field
  • MBA will be a added advantage
  • Higher Diploma ¡n Human Resource Management
  • Eight (8) years relevant experience with at least 3 years at senior management level
