We are seeking to recruit for the position of Debt Manager.

Job Ref: HR-DM-06-2018

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accountant.

Key responsibilities:

• Timely collection of company debt;
• Maintain accurate and updated customers’ statements of accounts through regular reconciliations;
• Credit appraisal of customers;
• Work with the commercial team, legal office and external debt collectors for recovery of debt;
• Production and distribution of debtors management reports on a timely basis.
• Handling client queries and responding on time while ensuring customer satisfaction;
• Convene and chair regular debt collection meetings;
• Supervise debt collectors and debt executives;
• Improvement and automation of debt management processes.

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

• Business related degree and CPA (K) or equivalent qualification;
• At least 5 years of debt management experience;
• Proven track record of debt collection;
• A strong network across all business sectors;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Good negotiation skills;
• Ability to meet strict deadlines;
• ERP experience.
