Requirements for the Secretarial Assistant Job
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education minimum mean grade C(minus) with at least C (plain) in English Language;
- The following secretarial qualifications awarded by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC):
- Typewriting II (minimum 40 wpm) or Computerized Document Processing II
- Business English I or Communications I
- Commerce I
- Office Practice I
- A certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution ; and
- Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
Secretarial Assistant Job Duties and Responsibilities
- The Secretarial Assistant II will report to the Head of Station where posted.
- Typing from manuscripts; processing data; operating office equipments; ensuring security of office equipments, documents and records;
- Attending to visitors or clients; handling telephone calls and appointments; and
- Undertaking other secretarial duties that may be assigned.
- The successful candidate may be required to work for more than one officer or deployed in a typing pool.
