Marketing Executives – Fuel & LPG at Hass Petroleum Limited
The Company: Hass Petroleum Limited is a regional oil marketing company with a significant presence in East Africa and the Great Lakes region.
We have fully fledged operations in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Somalia and the DRC dealing with sales and distribution of white oils (Diesel, Petrol & Kerosene), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and our own brand of lubricants blended to world class standards.
The Job: Due to expansion in business operations, we are enhancing the marketing team in Kenya.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for the prospecting for new customers and managing the local customer accounts in accordance with the business objectives of the Commercial division.
He/she shall work closely with the respective Fuel, LPG and Lubes teams in executing marketing activities specific to Kenya with the aim of increasing the sales turnover of the white fuels & LPG and to maximize profitability.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Oversee customer requirement/forecasts and gathering of competitors activities to ensure an overall winning position;
- Maintain sound and healthy customer relations with new and existing customers;
- Local Customer Order Processing and ensure Sound Customer Service
- Check and report on daily basis on the loadings versus the plan
- Ensure all fuel & LPG business transactions are done as per company policy;
- Reinforce cash business and ensure credit sales are properly secured
- Ensure all Credit Customers comply with the Credit policy
- Generate accurate local product forecast to customer service and logistics coordinator;
- Evaluate monthly customer requirements and expand the customer base
- Prepare customer database with monthly update and clients’ accounts
- Identify Regional competitor activities, their customers, prices and share the information with Management for decision making;
Required Qualifications and Experience
- University Degree in a Business-related field;
- Professional Marketing qualification i.e. ICM or Post graduate diploma
- At least 3 years’ experience in a lead role within a Marketing department; Prior experience in the Oil industry preferable.
- Strong professional demeanor and ability to represent the Company at the highest levels and initiate, build and improve relationships with teams and customers.
- Good IT Skills with knowledge of analytical and accounting packages preferable.
- Ability to work individually and in a team and at the same working under pressure
- Great work ethic, attitude and integrity.
- Strategic thinking and customer-focused individual.
