Civil Technician at Azicon Kenya Limited
Azicon (K) Limited is a Kenyan Company that was incorporated to provide services in airfield lighting and navigational systems installations in the airport environment.
In concert with the trends in business and technology our scope of business has broadened such that information technology, avionics and security systems are established units in our organization.
Our main activities are design, sourcing and installation of Airfield, Air Navigation, ICT systems, Power Distribution and Instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading a team in all construction activities.
- Manage, direct and monitor progress during each phase of the project
- Responsible for Training/ Guiding site technicians in all phases of work.
- Interpretation of drawings and specifications to ensure the project is implemented as per client’s guidelines.
- Coordinate various teams and organizations involved in the project to ensure continuous operations of the project implementation.
- Coordinate site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, safely, within budget, of the highest quality and meets client’s requirements.
- Ensure that all construction are done as per ICAO standards.
- Find solutions to overcome unforeseen construction difficulties.
- In charge of project materials, tools and documentation.
- Prepare project reports
- Ensure proper records are kept throughout the project implementation period.
- Ensure ISO 9001:2008 quality standards are adhered to.
- Ensure sites meet legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements.
Education
- Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Work Experience
- Minimum 4 years work experience in civil work.
Skills
- Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects
- Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
- Ability to work within budgets and to deadlines
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data and access solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate
