Fake Organizations Advertising for “Vacancies” on the Web
This is just to alert you and to beseech you to alert your friends and family about one of the latest strategies some con-men/con-women are now using to get money from innocent jobseekers.
First of all, they will put up announcements of “vacancies” on common blogs and websites such as ours. A few days later, respond to you via email to let you know that you’ve been “pre-shortlisted” to proceed further in the “selection” process. In that mail, they’ll attach an “entry assessment form” supposedly for new staff joining their organization, instruct you to fill it honestly and accurately and return the same to them. However, while at that, they’ll also demand for “scores” of your latest “Psychometric IPS test” or “Psychometric CAT” and at this juncture will suggest names of “consultants” near you and give you links that should lead you to other websites.

To make it look more believable, they’ll even give you the option of “selecting” other accredited IPS invigilators.
Now here is the catch – for you to proceed with the “recruitment” process, you must scan and email the score before a certain deadline and you must PAY for these “CATS”/”tests” through the details available at their boring websites (MPESA or bank account number). The cost of these “tests” is between KES6,500 and KES9,500. You will have the option of doing the “tests” either at their offices or online. To offer you the temptation of doing it online, they’ll usually have their “offices” in some dead-end corner in Kitisuru or some lane behind the Embassy of Czechoslovakia or some other Eastern European country that cannot be easily located. DO NOT PAY THESE GOONS! In fact, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING TO A PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYER. Not even for a medical test (though I have to admit that the conmen have gone a notch higher than before when thy were only demanding for KES300 for “medical tests” from innocent jobseekers).

I have contacted the ministry of labor and gave them these details, i hope they act fast and get these people. They even have bank accounts and the names on the mpesa messages can be identified-these people can be tracked!

Unfortunately I got conned by these thieves I had travelled to nairobi on Tuesday night 18-feb-2014 and on opening my mail i saw the message from Nina miller saying i had been shortlisted for a job in kampala however they managed to con me KES 6,450 because i had very little time to even verify these details or think i did the test so fast and the results communicated to Nina who even confirmed receiving the results and she went a head to promise that she would get back to me as soon as the panel sits.
mean while its so unfortunate that safaricom (mpesa) is being used by these thieves to conn money from africans this is bad publicity for safaricom do something about this you can trace these guys

I am sooo pissed right now I am trying to contact media houses. I also received theM& E email from Swiss Hunger Fund and a request for a PAT certificate within 2 working days. I am advised to pay via the bank ( no details) or MPESA to one James Wadegu 0703160668. The urgency to fill this position and the goodies it comes with can tempt you to make rush decisions but I decide to call Wandegu. He says they work with several organisations including Swiss hunger fund but can not confirm whether its legit because their job is to offer PAT certificates not to do investigations! I ask to visit their office and lie that I prefered a supervised exam rather than an online one. He stammers something close to its past working hours we should talk the following day. I warned him that I am followi ng up. So this is supposed to be an international invigilator from “ASCOM” limited africa. I tried opening an alternative link “NETO” which does not open! I call my best friend to narrate the ordeal and I am shocked that he is recovering from the shock of being conned. I have called safaricom and I have been asked to sms 333! I dont want to text I want to open a file for them! They should be jailed!
