Production Manager at Glacier Products Limited
Glacier Products Limited, the manufacturers of ice cream (Dairyland, Mio and Amore) seeks to recruit a Production Manager who will be based in our Nairobi plant.
The Position will be reporting to the Managing Director.
The Production Manager will be In- Charge of all operations and staff in the production department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of the production planner and liaising with the Head of Departments to plan efficiently.
- Ensure that all statutory and regulatory procedures are set up, implemented and reviewed from time to time.
- Ensure that proper maintenance of machines is carried out to minimise down times and maximise equipment and machinery efficiency.
- Managing the production staff in conjunction with the HR Office.
- Participate in the food safety and quality systems maintenance.
- Any other duty as assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Degree food or dairy science with at least 3 years working experience In the food industry
- Academic qualification in the field of management will be added advantage
- Have knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000-2005, ISO 9001 and other food management systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing System/Total Productive Maintenance (Kaizen)
- Must be computer literate.
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and a team player.
