Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer:
Duties and responsibilities will entail: Collecting, collating and analysing data on ECDE enrollment, ECDE education projections, feeding program, guidance and counselling, special needs, preparing reports on requirements of ECDE Education in terms of curriculum support materials, education facilities, quality assurance inspections, project inspections and co-curricular activities.
Requirements for appointment
For appointments to this grade, a candidate must have:-
- Bachelors degree in education (ECDE option) or
- Bachelors degree in education with a certificate in ECDE and
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
ECDE Caregivers
Duties and responsibilities
Specific duties will involve: guiding on nutritional diet for the ECDE learners,
guiding learners during class and outside class, guiding learners in
simple learning thematic areas in ECDE, and general management of the
ECDE center.

Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have;
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or proficiency certificate in ECDE
- Certificate or Diploma in ECDE will be an added advantage
- 3 years experience in the same field
