M-KOPA LLC is a mobile technology company established in 2011 after successful trials of innovative, embedded mobile services.
M-KOPA uses mobile payments to offer consumer financing for energy products and services, targeted at off-grid users.
Our first product; a mobile enabled solar home lighting system is available in Kenya where it provides clean, affordable energy to consumers, made accessible through machine-to-machine technology and mobile payments.
M-KOPA is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developers to help in the process of developing the growing M-KOPA system.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Start Date: ASAP
Reporting to: Head of Technology
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing software solutions for different platforms/ devices as required by the business
- Clear and concise technical documentation
- Resolving related support tickets
Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in building solutions using C#
- Strong practical understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts
- Solid understanding of the ASP.NET MVC Framework
- Solid understanding of using ORMs such as NHibernate and Entity Framework
- Excellent knowledge of MS SQL Server
- Demonstrated skill in either UX design and rapid prototyping or BI and reporting tools
- Ability to collect, distill and express user requirements
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage own time with changing priorities
- A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to go the extra mile to assist other team members
