The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is an institution of the Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya which is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network.
The hospital is part of a network of health facilities in East Africa which include: Clinics, Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa, Aga Khan Hospital Dar es salaam and Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi.
It provides medical care to the population of western Kenya region and works with leading clinicians in the country in the management of complex cases.
The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has attained acknowledgment of its quality by achieving ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, ISO 15189:2007 accreditation for laboratory services and is moving towards Joint Commission International Accreditation.
The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has also expanded its services to Kisii, Kakamega, Busia, Kisumu, Bungoma, Kericho and Kitale Counties.
It is now expanding its services in Homa – Bay County and is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
IT Officer
Overall Responsibility: The successful candidate will provide timely, reliable, accurate and efficient information services to both staff and the customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning Preventive maintenance activities for Hardware
- Provide Support Audio Visual equipment and services.
- Implementation of IT Helpdesk as per policy
- Learn the various specialized applications within Hospital environment; with focus on support and troubleshooting
- Installation of software on all end user PCS, with maintenance of versions as required.
- Support and maintenance of Servers and Network
- Maintain Share-point intranet sites
- Develop be-spoke reports, applications, dashboards.
- Undertake any other IT projects identified by management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Business Information Systems.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience.
- Good MS Office Suite skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills and be able to work with minimum supervision. Previous training experience in a hospital environment is preferable.
- Experience in Share-point setup, maintenance and training.
- Programming experience in either Java, C++, PHP, PL/SQL , Crystal reports.
- Oracle Database skills and Experience in Business intelligence (High reports, Birt reports) will be highly desirable.
