1. Medical Officer
The job holder will be responsible for providing quality healthcare services to the hospital clientele in line with the business objectives
Applicants must be in possession of Bachelors of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) Degree from a recognized University.
2. Medical Officer Critical Care
The job holder will be responsible for providing efficient and professional medical care for patients in need of emergency and critical care.
Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelors of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a recognized University and be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board and have certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS).Certification in Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
3. Nursing Officer – (Theatre, I.C.U, Casualty & Wards)
These are core positions within The Nairobi Womens Hospital. Reporting to the Unit-Nursing Services Coordinator,
The position holder/s will be responsible for:
Qualifications and Skills
- Applicants must be in possession of relevant Nursing qualification from a recognized school of nursing or University
- Current license with the Nursing Council of Kenya
- At least one post basic training i.e.Theatre &/ or Critical Care
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
The position holder will be responsible for control of operations in line with the business objectives.
- Delivering a professional and high standard of nursing care within the section while leading a team of nurses in delivering projects and team targets;
- Ensuring proper documentation, maintaining proper records, confidentiality, and handing over between shifts at all times;
- Orientating new staffs at the section level as well as Preparing, implementing and monitoring departmental rotas including reports
- Nursing qualification from a recognized school of nursing or University
- Qualification in specialised area (paediatric, theatre, ICU or Maternity) will be an added advantage.
- Current license with the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Minimum of 5 years of continuous clinical nursing experience, with an interest to specialize in Critical Care
These are core positions within The Nairobi Womens Hospital. Reporting to the Unit-Nursing Services Coordinator, The position holder will be responsible for delivering a professional and high standard of nursing care within the section; Ensure Superior Customer Experience to both internal and external clients.
- At least 2 years relevant experience
- KRCHN with basic training in specialised area (paediatric, theatre, ICU or Maternity)
- BSN or its equivalent is an added advantage
- Membership to a professional body
The person will be in charge of Leading, planning, organizing and controlling all pharmacy activities in line with business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology. (Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Will be an added advantage).
- Valid annual practice license with the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in a busy hospital pharmacy setting
The position holder will be charged with Receiving, filling and dispensing drugs and medical supplies as ordered or prescribed by a qualified medical practitioners.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years relevant work experience
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
- Valid registration license by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
Reporting to the Lab Services Manager, the position holder shall among other duties ensure Superior Customer Experience to all internal and external clients, manage and control laboratory supplies, Streamline the service turn- around- time (TAT) & Conduct regular audits of all activities to ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bsc in laboratory science or Higher National Diploma in Medical Technology in any Laboratory discipline- Hematology, Microbiology, and Clinical Chemistry
- Valid practice license
- At least 5 years relevant work experience as in a busy hospital Laboratory setting
The preferred person will be responsible for ensuring all Laboratory equipments are in good condition before starting the day’s work.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years experience
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a board recognized institution
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologist and Technicians Board
- HND is an added advantage
The suitable candidate will be responsible for but not limited to, Generating anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images by using cognitive imaging/ sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 1 year relevant work experience
- Diploma holder in Medical Imaging Sciences from a recognised institution
- Must be a member of Radiology Board of Kenya
Key responsibilities will be to prepare post and reconcile financial transactions and collect and reconcile all that is owed to the Hospital as per set target.
- checking invoices against supporting documents and dispatch;
- Planning with Cashier and Ward Clerk to ensure all services are billed;
- Checking inpatient/outpatient un-finalized invoices in the ERP and rectify any anomalies
- CPA II or equivalent
- Proven working knowledge of ERP and strong computer skills
- Analytical mind with strong orientation to financial analysis
- At least 2 years relevant work experience in a busy environment setting
The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to –
- Receiving and verification of goods received or issued;
- Short listing of items due for ordering and confirm expiries;
- Maintaining updated stock movement records;
- Processing of departmental requisitions; Pricing and labeling of goods.
- Certificate in Purchasing and supplies
- At least 1 year relevant work experience
- Membership to a professional body
The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:-
- Processing patient’s documents;
- Ensuring security and confidentiality of medical records;
- Maintaining patient’s files (medical records) and documenting their condition and treatment;
- Following up on discharged patients, their families and physicians. i.e. patients with terminal illnesses.
- Diploma in Medical Records and Information Systems
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Additional qualification will be an added advantage
