Media Manager at CDL Kenya
Job Description: Responsible for day to day operations and regional coordination for a global account (a well known telecommunication brand).
The successful candidate will be in charge of :
- Delivering excellent client service
- Leading strategic media planning and buying for Kenya
- Leading coordination for a number of markets reporting to the lead agency.

- Knowledge of French language will be a competitive edge
Responsibilities
The job will require you to :
- Thoroughly understand the fundamentals of the client’s business
- Manage and influence the agency network (particularly senior-level) to ensure deliverables are completed based on key standards and in a timely manner
- Be in charge of coordinating a scope of 8 markets – primarily French speaking markets in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Be in charge of developing strategic media recommendations in response to campaign briefs
- Advise on all aspects of the marketing mix and their deployment to achieve a clients business objectives
- Thoroughly understand the fundamentals of performance-based marketing
- Have a profound knowledge about on and offline marketing and branding theories
Specific activities include:
Internal
- Managing a client teams across our agency network
- Reporting to the Media Director
Allocation of Media Budget
- Advise the client on the optimal online media mix, often in co-operation with an external party such as a media agency
Negotiation with media vendors
- Strong negotiation and trading of annual media rates with vendors
Optimisation
- Learning internal objectives
- Formulating strategies and setting targets
Reporting
- Reporting to the client
- Internal reporting to the Media Director and possibly headquarters
- Time reporting of the client team
Skills & Experience:
- 4 to 5 years of strong experience working in a media agency.
- Experience of FMCG/TelCo brands highly desirable
- Fluency in French
- Commercial and analytical skills
- Attention to details and literacy
