Teaching Associate at One Acre Fund
Based in Kisii
We are an international NGO with a strong footprint in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania: In these countries our 3,000+ strong staff serves over 200,000 smallholding farmers and helps them to grow their way out of hunger and poverty.
We are seeking experienced and talented individuals to take up the position of Teaching Associate in the training department.
The Teaching Associate will be based at the Nyanza Headquarters in Kisii town.
Your Role
- Delivery of trainings to the headquarters and field Staff.
- Training of Trainers.
- Assessment of trainers, training activities, and follow up.
- Lead staff onboarding in Nyanza.
- Assist in assessing the training needs of headquarters and field staff.
The Teaching Associate will report directly to the Teaching Team Manager.

- University degree preferably in Education, Human Resources, Community Development and Agricultural Sciences. Those with a Diploma and relevant experience will also be considered.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in staff training with a focus on staff professional development.
- Training of Trainers experience.
- Experience in the use of adult education methodologies.
- Proven organizational, analytical, communication (oral and written) and training skills.
- Ability to assess staff training needs.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in both office and field settings.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and to meet strict deadlines.
- Must have advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Monitoring and Evaluation of Training skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
- The candidate should be willing to reside in Kisii, Nyanza.
