Kenya Forest Service is a State Corporation established to sustainably manage, conserve, develop and protect forest resources for Kenya’s socio-economic development.
The Service seeks to recruit a highly competent, self-driven and results oriented fixed-wing pilot of high integrity to fill the following position.

Reporting To: Head Airwing KFS
Essential Job Functions:
- As the pilot in Command (PIC), be responsible for the operations security and safety of the aircraft and all persons and cargo onboard during flight.
- Shall operate aircraft in support of field missions, including specialized maneuvers, fire fighting, transport, surveillance, mountain flying, patrol, pursuit, search and rescue, aerial photography and medical evacuation.
- Shall have the final authority as to the operation of the aircraft while in command
- Whether manipulating the controls or not, be responsible for the operation of the aircraft in accordance with the Civil Aviation Regulations.
- Shall inspect and test aircraft and all mission related equipments as well as maintaining written reports, logs and records as required
- Schedule flights according to mission profile, passengers, cargo and weather conditions
Qualifications, experience and key competencies (Specifications)
- Must possess a valid Kenya Commercial License (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR) and current flying medical certificate from authorized Civil Aviation Medical Examiner
- Must have over two thousand (2,000) hours total flight time
- Must have a valid Night Rating
- Must have a valid current Rating on type
- Must have over three hundred (300) hours as pilot in command
- Must have over three hundred (300) hours on Cessna Caravan 208b (Experience on G1000 will be an added advantage)
- Able to work independently, prioritize flight missions and perform operations under highly stressful or emergency conditions
- Must have the flexibility to work any hours including weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, call outs and overtime in varying climatic and weather conditions
