The IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that IT projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standards within the agreed specifications.
He/she will ensure that the projects are effectively resourced and manage relationships among all project contributors.
The position reports to the Head of IT department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration with the program sponsors
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
- Review the project schedule with the program sponsors and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or related field.
S/he should have 7 years’ experience in IT related field or in project management with at least 3 years in a management/leadership position.
S/he must possess good analytical, communication and problem solving skills
