IT Administrator at Atom

An organization, whose purpose is to transform African Businesses into Global Brands through innovation, strategy and business alignment, is looking to recruit an IT Administrator.
Reporting To: Head of Technology

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installing, configuring, managing and supporting the SQL Server Relational Database
  • Management System (RDBMS) and the multiple databases and corresponding applications it hosts and supports.
  • Performing administration of database servers in an enterprises environment, including production, development, testing, and training servers to support: backup and recovery procedures; replication; index maintenance; monitoring system performance and optimizing/tuning stored procedures and indexes; creating ad-hoc SQL queries; integrating data files and databases from disparate systems; data mining and cleansing of legacy databases; troubleshooting and isolating and resolving performance problems, etc.
  • Performing networks management functions including network: user administration; resource management; configuration management; performance management; and maintenance.
  • Administrating and appropriately allocating ICT resources for server farms and all other hardware and software resources shared on the network.  (i.e., databases, etc.)
  • Monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting and taking appropriate corrective measures for all LAN/WAN assets to support optimal application usage, development, support and performance.

Qualifications & Experience
  • A degree in Information Technology or related field
  • At least 2 years experience in a busy user support environment
