Ramp Supervisor (2 Positions)
Do you believe you have what it takes to lead a team in ensuring that an aircraft has been loaded and offloaded within tight turn-around times whilst maintaining high safety standards?
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Staff engagement – provide direction and guidance to a team pre, during and post flight towards achieving on time performance.
- Team management and resource planning through effective duty allocations.
- Ensure safe and punctual flight operations within a shift.
- Ensure proper reporting of shift operations to the Ramp Manager.
- Monitor equipment cleanliness, ensure daily inventory of equipment and fuelling activity is undertaken.
- Coordinate equipment hire-in in a timely and cost effective manner and ensure that Hire-in data is captured and updated in real-time.
- Facilitate hire-out of equipment and ensure that relevant forms are submitted to Finance for invoicing within set timelines.
- Ensure that subcontracted services at Ramp are provided in accordance to contractual agreements.
- Monitor the departmental KPI trend.
- Enforce set rules and regulation and ensure that all processes are in accordance to the written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Education: KCSE Mean C+, computer proficiency and must possess a clean and valid driving license (BCDE).
- Experience: At least 3 years in a busy operational environment, Aviation industry experience will be an added advantage.
- Proven track record in managing teams and planning resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all GSE equipment including first line maintenance to ensure maximum availability of equipment during operations.
- Staff engagement – provide direction, coaching and guidance to the maintenance team towards achieving optimal performance on all GSE.
- Carry out technical inspection of all repairs done to ensure compliance to set standards.
- Carry our trouble shooting of faulty GSE units and consult manufacturers and advise on required repairs within set deadlines.
- Provide periodic reports to various users on maintenance schedules, daily fleet reports, processed job cards etc.
- Ensure proper reporting of operations to the Maintenance Manager.
- Verify and authorize all GSE repair orders outsourced.
- Ensure GSE cleaning schedule is followed and that all GSE are kept clean and secure at all times in line with 5S.
- Education: KCSE Mean C+, with computer proficiency, must possess a clean and valid driving license (BCD).
- Professional Experience: Fair working knowledge on maintenance of GSE (motorised and non-motorised) is mandatory.
- Experience: At least 3 years in a busy operational environment.
- Proven track record in managing teams and operating in an aviation setting is an added advantage.
- Excellent communications skills.
