Job Summary: The Office Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office, by providing the necessary office supplies and running all errands pertaining to the business activities of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to;

1. Opening and closing of the office daily.
2. Cleaning of the office and tidying of worktops daily.
3. Record keeping and filing of all office documents.
4. Preparing tea for staff and official visitors, and cleaning up afterwards.
5. Management of petty cash for the replenishment of general office supplies.
6. Running messenger errands outside the office:
a. Banking and other bank errands.
b. Purchase of petty cash items as required.
c. Delivery or collection of official documents from various offices.
d. Collection of correspondence and packages from the post office(s).
e. Making payments to vendors and suppliers.
7. Overseeing office repair and maintenance.

Qualifications and desirable qualities.

  • Minimum qualification – K.C.S.E
  • Post-secondary certification in business management or related course is an added advantage.
  • Computer literate.
  • Driving license – motorcycle class.
  • Good command of English.
  • Exemplary inter-personal communication skills.
  • A person of integrity.
  • Proactive and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Team player.
