Video Production Engineer at O’dumont Consulting
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day workflow of our full time video production staff
- Produce videos for each client that reflect the brand and image of the client
- Provide supervision to production and edit crews
- Work closely with both sales staff and outside clients
- Operate video cameras, jib and monitor audio recording devices
- Setup lighting, sets, and other preproduction needs
- Tear down special rigging, lighting, sets, or other postproduction needs
- Edit and oversee the editing of instructional videos, special projects, marketing videos, and other projects as needed
- Prioritize projects for self and others
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of projects
- Coordinate the maintenance and repair of all equipment
- Install necessary equipment at the most reasonable price
- Order video equipment and supplies
- Provide technical knowledge in regard to future and current video projects to other employees, staff, and clients
- Work with team members to establish, follow, and enforce project standards
- Advise our sales personnel on options available and provide cost in terms of development time
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mass media, communications, or related degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional video production environment.
- Personal leadership and professional skills with flexibility and a positive attitude
- Excellent computer skills and the drive to learn new technologies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Desire to work on a team contributing both at the management and staff level
Multimedia experience:
- In-depth knowledge of current video production techniques/procedures including: lighting, single camera (location) shooting, sound recording, script writing, video design, budgeting, scheduling, editing (audio and video), graphics composition and special effects (e.g. green screen).
- Strong understanding of post-production and experience with professional level editing/multi-media software (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects) and audio formats with the ability to set specifications required to ensure product performance.
- Proven ability in production (producing, directing, writing, continuity, lighting, and audio)
- Demonstrable creativity and creative problem-solving skills
- Creativity in planning, shooting, and editing
- Knowledge of studio design, multimedia equipment, and configuration
- High level of computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well with other individuals in a high-stress environment
