Finance Officer at Concern Worldwide

Concern Worldwide is an international non-governmental humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Kenyan nationals for the following position:

Finance Officer – Kenya Programme
 
Job Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for programme budgeting, donor reporting and preparation of management accounts. 

S/he will also support Concern’s fundamental accounting functions including partner financial management, payroll processing, preparation of journals and balance sheet reconciliations.

Job Specification:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA (K) or ACCA professional certification
  • At least 3 years’ experience. Previous experience working in an international NGO is preferred
  • Proficient in computer software and applications, including at least one accounting software, preferably Microsoft Great Plains (MGP) and Word and Excel applications
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, people and report writing skills
