Field Sales Associate

Copia Global seeks talented individuals to join the team and help build the Merchant/Vendor base.

This position requires excellent communication, planning, organizational as well as experience with retail sales.

It is essential you are results driven and can work in an unstructured environment.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for recruiting Copia’s Merchants/Vendors in a given area. Specifically, your role will be:
  • Build and grow the merchant/vendor base
  • Produce strategy to acquire the correct merchants in the area of operations
  • Create weekly reports and daily updates
  • Other tasks as required by the management
Skills required
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree with evidence of good performance
  • Sales: the incumbent will be responsible for closing deals with small size rural retailers
  • Management: The incumbent must have proven experience of performance management.
  • Retail experience: It is highly desirable that the individual have previous retail experience to ensure they speak the same language as the retailer
  • Financial experience: A sufficient level of finance to understand the product being offered.
  • Technology: The individual should be conversant with IT to allow appropriate creation of report using Excel and word
  • Articulate: The individual must be sufficiently articulate to converse with a small trader to the management team of an established company.
  • Highly analytical, quick learner and adaptive
  • Driven by intellectual challenge and fast pace.

Customer Service Associate
The position is the first point of contact for all Vendor & Customer feedback and responsible for ensuring that Vendors and Customers are handled in a prompt and effective manner whilst retaining customer confidence and loyalty in our products and services.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing prompt and professional replies to all customer feedback.
  • Building and managing excellent customer relationships.
  • Sales activity planning, including reviewing existing customer files to identify sales opportunities.
  • Manage customer inquiries, problems, requests and suggestions
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate customer claims, initiate billing adjustments in coordination with the team leader.
  • Grow existing customers base.
  • Plan and execute regular maintenance and business development visits to customers.
  • Maintain and regularly update customer information.
  • Perform periodic market analysis as directed.

Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelor Degree in a related field
  • Proficiency in English
  • Computer Proficiency: MS office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)
  • Previous experience in customer management
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience within the industry
