The study is a cluster-randomized controlled trial whose object is to better understand what would make more men aged 25 years and above to go for VMMC services.
County Study Coordinators
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Take charge of community entry activities
- Oversee the coordination of study activities in the designated County as per the study Protocol
- Provide leadership, supervision and support to the data collection team.
- Review collected data and typed transcripts and provide feedback.
- Monitor participant accrual and maintain the data log – logging each data collection event conducted into a log to keep track.
- Serve as a liaison person between the IRDO, staff, study participants and the general community in the study region.
- Prepare and submit progress reports at required intervals.
- Must have a Bachelors degree in health related field or Social Sciences; or Masters degree in relevant field added advantage
- Must have 3 years supervisory experience in HIV prevention work, preferably research. .
- Ability to multi-task;
- excellent writing and presentation skills;
- excellent communication skills and teamwork; can work long hours, including weekends and public holidays when necessary
- without additional financial compensation; proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct household enumeration, in-depth interviews (IDIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs).
- Consent and enroll study participants
- Deliver study intervention package.
- Transcribe audio-recorded FGDs and IDIs and type data in English within the allocated time.
- Diploma in Community Development/Social Work
- Certificate in VMMC Counseling
- 3 Years experience working in HIV field, specifically providing counseling services to VVMM clients
- Experience in motivational interviewing advantageous
- Good communication skills, fluency in English and Dholuo, ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal relations
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise data collection to ensure quality data; also supervise data entry.
- Coordinate the collection of completed data forms from the field, including the following up of those with missing data.
- Ensure data cleaning and verify all data instruments for accuracy, version control and completeness.
- Perform simple data cleaning tasks and quality checks
- Submit data electronically to the data coordinating center as IRDO head office in Kisumu
- Experience with use of tablets in data collection highly required
- Diploma in Data Management or Information Technology; Certificate in Monitoring and
- Evaluation an added advantage
- 2 years experience in a similar position.
- Experience in database design, data entry, and quality control desirable.
- Keen ability to supervise and ensure integrity of field-level data collection, abstraction, or entry.
- Ability to work with the internet and e-mail, sound knowledge of MSWord, Excel, SPSS and Access.

- Type up handwritten transcripts.
- Maintain the hard and soft copies of data confidential
- Diploma in Data Management or Information Technology.
- 2 years experience in a similar position.
- Ability to work with the internet and e-mail, sound knowledge of MSWord, Excel, SPSS and Access.
- Diligently track expenditures for different interventions arms.
- Manage project finances and maintain accounting books.
- Conduct monthly bank and cash/advance reconciliations and provide project financial updates at required intervals.
- Generate and submit financial reports monthly and at other required intervals.
- Oversee external audit and submission of reports
- Submit other reports per donor requirement
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field and CPA (K)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accounting application packages, specifically QuickBooks
- Ability to work under pressure, and move out to the field.
- Neat and organized; ability to keep proper records and other documentation.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the disbursement of study funds within the designated study region
- Manage petty cash and make payments for all study activities
- Prepare monthly reports and submit to the project accountant.
- Attained at least CPA 1
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accounting application packages
- Ability to work under pressure, and move out to the field
- Neat and organized; ability to keep proper records and other documentation
- Highest integrity and honesty
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive project vehicles during outreaches and mobilization, ferry materials and personnel for field activities and run administrative errands when needed.
- Maintain the vehicles by keeping them clean at all times, taking them for regular service and through responsible usage.
- Obtain project supplies and perform other messengerial duties as assigned.
- Keep the licenses, insurance and other mandatory vehicle requirements current.
- Holder of Form 4 Certificate, with a mean grade of D+.
- Valid Kenya driving license and holder of Certificate in Grade Test III, II and I
- 3 years experience in driving and Motor Mechanics, preferably with an NGO.
- Excellent work ethics – disciplined, punctual, responsible and pleasant.
- Current (in last 6 months) certificate of Good Conduct
