Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Intern
1 Position
As part of the Global Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team, the M&E Intern will support the development and evaluation of an organizational performance monitoring and learning framework to ensure the quality, and effectiveness of global program implementation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support Global MEL members in setting up M&E systems;
- Assist with the design and development of forms and questionnaires for data collection and analysis;
- Contribute to data collection and assess its quality;
- Assist with research and writing or editing of M&E documents;
- Assist with data management, cleaning, and quality control;
- Assist in data analysis, build models to support business decisions
- Have a relevant graduate degree such as agriculture economics, economics, social sciences and statistics.
- Experience or coursework in M&E and/or management
- Demonstrate excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Have a high level of computer literacy.
- Have advanced quantitative skills, including knowledge of statistical programs.
- Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Have an ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines required; flexibility to changing situations and priorities desired.
- Demonstrate an understanding of international development issues.
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and/or lead the efforts to effectively meet MEL needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support Practice Area Management team with specific focus on livestock production and business development activities;
- Assist in the development of Livestock Production and Marketing Manual;
- Assist in the development of a Milk Collection Center Capacity Development Manual;
- Assist in the development of livestock marketing models and animal health business models;
- Assist in the development of internal tools specific for identifying best practices, success and lessons learned stories;
- Have a relevant graduate degree such as Agriculture Economics, Economics or Business.
- Experience or coursework in Agriculture and/or Livestock
- Demonstrate excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Have a high level of computer literacy.
- Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Have an ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines required; flexibility to changing situations and priorities desired.
- Demonstrate an understanding of international development issues.
