Recruitment of ECDE Teachers
The Kisii County Public Service Board wishes to recruit qualified and competent teachers to fill the vacant positions as spelt out under the 4th schedule to the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
Requirements
- National Identity cards (both sides)
- Academic certificates
- Professional certificates
- Two coloured passport size photographs
- Proof of registration with the Kisii County Government (Education sector)
- Any other relevant testimonials
Academic
Be a holder of form four certificates (KCE/EACE)
- Division III and above
- KCSE D+ and above
- KCSE D plain with KNEC proficiency
Professional Qualifications
- Certificate in ECDE
- Diploma and degree certificate will be an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be able to communicate using language of the catchment area.
- Be conversant with ECDE syllabus ad curriculum delivery
- Be an actual classroom teacher/caregiver
- Be able to interpret childcare services
- Be a community mobilizer and conversant with ECDE matters/activities
- Be a link between child and parent
- Be able to advise on feeding programmes
- Have adequate knowledge on growth monitoring and evaluation
- Be conversant with the working system, line ministries like Ministry of Health in administration of Vitamin A and de-worming, Ministry of Water in the provision of safe drinking water, Child care services and care plus OVCS, child rights, abuse, neglect and labour.
