Posta is currently re-engineering its key business processes through innovation and adoption of Information Communications Technology in order to meet the customer demands in a dynamic market place.
The Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) invites qualified and interested applicants to fill the following position, which is vacant:
Job Title: Insurance Officer
Department: Corporation Secretary
Reporting To: Assistant Manager / Legal ServicesKey Responsibilities
- Process new insurance policies as well as modification the existing policies.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of information on claims forms, applications and related documents, and corporation records.
- Prepare claims as per (Group Personal Accident) GPA policy.
- Promptly report road accidents to insurance providers as per policy requirements.
- Update existing policies and Insurance records to reflect changes done.
- Prepare motor vehicle accident claim with insurance providers.
- Analyze statistical data, such as mortality, accident, sickness, disability, with a view of revising insurance policies.
- Sensitize staff on insurance policies.
- Researching insurance companies’ policies and negotiating with Insurers to find the most suitable products for the corporation.
- Review the PCK insurance policy in line with the market trends
- Perform any other duty as directed by the controlling officer.
Qualifications & Skills
- A first degree and demonstrable progress in insurance related professional qualifications
- Diploma in Insurance, ACII, FLMI, AIIK
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work quickly, accurately and efficiently in order to meet deadlines.
- Good logistical and planning skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
- Be computer literate.
