Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) is a Global NGO in Kenya working in collaboration with Kenya Episcopal Conference (KEC) and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK).
Founded in 1928 and rooted in the healing ministry of Jesus, CMMB works collaboratively to provide quality healthcare programs and services, without discrimination, to people in need around the world.
CMMB is seeking to recruit a Field Officer to support the implementation of the activities of the Global Fund Program in Gem district.

Job Purpose / Summary
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Field Officer will serve as a team member and responsible to support and ensure implementation of Service Delivery Areas (Interventions) under the GF RD 10 program in Gem district.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Field officer will support the implementation of the GF RD 10 activities in the districts of coverage.
- Plan and Coordinate the community mobilization for participation in the PMTCT, HTC, and PLHIV outreaches.
- Strengthen referral systems between clinical service providers (health facilities) and other PMTCT, HCBC care and support service providers through the Community Units.
- In collaboration with CHEWS actively monitor and supervise CHWS performance and compliance to required standards
- Ensure planning and coordination of monthly meetings of CHW’s in the respective sites and ensure timely submission of their reports
- Represent CMMB in stakeholder’s meetings/forums within the supported district.
- Support the M & E Officer to collate relevant data from the health facilities and from the community (CHWs) and be able to utilize it and conduct routine data quality check.
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly and ad hoc project reports from the area of coverage and submit them on a timely basis to the Project Coordinator and M & E Officer to aid in preparation of the main program report.
- Conduct monitoring visits in project implementation sites conjunction with the CHEWS and the DHMT
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Community Development and Social Work or related qualification from a recognized institution with a minimum with proven working experience in community work.
- Strong understanding of HIV/AIDS programs
- Experience in implementing HCBC and PMTCT programs will be an added advantage.
- Understanding and proven Knowledge of working with Government Ministries and agencies.(MOPHS,MOMS,NACC etc)
- Computer literacy is mandatory.
