Reporting to the Tax Manager, the incumbent will be expected to carry out the following key tasks:

• Tax planning to ensure that our clients are advised in advance on installments and final tax due and filing of returns.
• Preparing income tax computation of various clients and verification of expenses.
• Reviewing tax computations for a limited company, partnership and personal returns and filling company, partnership and individual returns including preparation of dividend tax account.
• Updating tax cards for our clients for tax assessed and tax paid including updating overpayments utilized.
• Carrying out analysis of KRA statements and clients’ records and making recommendations.
• Handling KRA demand letters, KRA audits and investigations and assisting the team reader on preparation of objections.
• Carrying out personal tax computation of taxable income and tax liability in respect to Personal income, gratuities, compensation for loss of contract /office.
• Providing the clients with up to date information on NSSF, NHIF, fringe benefit, owner-occupied interest, personal and insurance relief, etc.

• CPA (K), CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
• University degree in business, legal or economic disciplines
• Minimum of two years experience in a similar position
• Thorough knowledge of local tax laws and practice
• Sound analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Self disciplined and organized
