Participation and Competition for the Design of a New Logo for the County Government of Trans Nzoia
The County Government Trans Nzoia (CGTZ) was established vide the County Government Act No.17 of 2012.
It is located in the North Rift and lies between the Cherangani Hills and Mt. Elgon.
The main activities practiced in the County include large scale farming, wildlife, tourism, commerce and food processing.
Pursuant to the above, the Office the Governor wishes to invite offers from the members of general public and or institutions for the designing of the County flag and county coat of Arms and Public seal through a competitive process.
Functions of the County government
As per the Constitution, the functions to be undertaken by the a County Government include; agriculture, livestock development, health, finance, planning and development, pollution control, public works, roads, transport, public entertainment, soil and water conservation, forestry, trade development and regulation, tourism, animal welfare and cultural activities among others.
Logo Features
The logo should bear the following:-
- Capture the main physical and socio-economic and cultural activities
- Bear the name: County Government of Trans Nzoia
- Be original in nature and must not infringe on any copy right and shall not be the same as or be a likeness or similarity to a national symbol.
- Be done by using the common design programmes with a scale of 28×20 cm and a resolution of 300 pixels.
Prize
The competition shall be in the following categories with a token for the winner and the 1st runners up as indicated below:-
(ii) County Coat of Arms and Public Seal Winner Kshs. 50,000
1st Runners Up Kshs. 25,000
1st Runners Up Kshs. 25,000
Note: By submitting the logo, you agree to transfer copyright of the design to the County Government of Trans Nzoia (CGTZ).
The proposed logo designs with a CD should be submitted to the undersign by 15th May,.2013, through the following address;

It should be noted that the selection panel shall exercise discretion and its decision on the winner for each category shall be deemed final.
