Position:                                IN & VPN Team Leader

Reporting to:                       Manager IN and Data Charging

Role Purpose:

Carry out build activities for  the IN, OCS, VC and VPN including Capacity and feature updates/extensions for accurate rating and payment for services in accordance with organizational objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities.

Operational (incl. Planning):

• Maintain and update the architectures of OCS, SCP, VC and VPN Platforms
• Carry out feasibility and development of new marketing products and service offers
• Implementation and end to end testing of new marketing products and offers
• Analyzes network statistics and trigger corrective actions according to set KPI
• Forecast IN hardware and capacity needs and communicate to management
• Works with vendors to install new or upgrades/extensions/expansion of SP
• Evaluate, engineer and undertake integrations with new network elements
• Lead acceptance testing and commissioning of new products and integrations
• Liaise with FT group skill centers to obtain validation and support on new installations, upgrades and integrations
• Update naming, configuration and engineering documents
• Apply FT group and vendor security guidelines to maintain optimum security of the OCS, SCP, VC and VPN
• Support Run team in investigate resolve and document any platform anomalies
• Observation of KPI as a pro-active measure to prevent service degradation and most specifically after network interventions
• Write Work Orders and follow execution and reporting
• participate in Post incidence reviews, root cause analysis and implement recommendations of PIR
• Action inputs from revenue assurance to prevent and close revenue leakages
• Feasibility study and implementation of change requests from marketing, BM
• Liaison with other sections within ITN e.g. IT, O&M, QOS etc

 

 

Academic/ Professional Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Telecommunication, Electrical or Electronics or IT related field. At least 2-3 years experience in  similar position IN & VAS planning, operations and maintenance
