We are looking for dynamic, creative and self-oriented professionals to fill the position of:
Business Development Manager – Bancassurance
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head, Co-op Consultancy and Insurance Agency, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for formulation and implementing the sales strategy for Bancassurance.
Main Duties:
- To drive growth in Bancassurance business across and outside the bank channels.
- Accountable for overall profitability of the sales team
- Work closely with branch managers and credit teams to generate leads and close business
- Monitor and review performance and take corrective actions
- Establish and sustain strong relations and network with all business units to identify Bancassurance opportunities
- To identify opportunities, develop and deploy new products.
- Ensure a high level of customer experience across all Co-op Bank delivery channels.
- Train the sales team on all the bank assurance products.
- Build bancassurance capacity in the Co-op Bank Group
- Ensure Bancassurance targets are met
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures in regard to bancassurance business
- Establish networks leading to business growth within the industry
The incumbent will be required to possess the following qualifications, attributes and skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in any business related field
- more than five years sales in insurance or banking
- Consistent high level performance in the current role will be a key consideration
- Diploma or certificate of insurance will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of the insurance business.
- Good management and leadership skills
- Very strong networking and relationship skills
- Interpersonal skill
- Negotiation skills
