The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS.
We’re working in 15 countries around the world to provide HIV prevention, care, and treatment services for children, women, and families—with a mission to eliminate pediatric AIDS.
EGPAF in Kenya is currently looking to recruit for the position of Program Officer – HIV based in Lodwar for the Nakinae Akiyar Project.
The Role
The Program Officer will provide technical expertise in implementing interventions to sensitize and engage community, create community-facility linkages and implement psychosocial support activities to adults and children.
She/he will support adherence to the continuum of care and retention at all project supported sites while providing technical assistance and capacity building.
The Person
To be successful in this role:-
- You will require HIV/AIDS knowledge and related experience with background in community development activities.
- You will possess a degree in Public Health, Community health, Community Development, Development studies, counseling or a relevant social studies degree. An advanced degree will be an added advantage.
- You will be Computer literate (Computer skills-MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power point), in addition to demonstrated teaching and counselling skills and willingness to travel.
