OPPORTUNITY FOR FIT STUDENTS TO WORK IN LABS AS A LAB ASSISTANT OR AS AN INTERN WHILE STUDYING… (Strathmore University)

Requirements:

Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) students in Strathmore University. Both full time and part time students.
Must have been a student in Strathmore for at least one semester.
A student should have excellent academic record in the most recent semester(s) at the time of application. A student MUST have minimum of B and B in IT electives.
Should not have any disciplinary case.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Configuring lab computers on local area network.
• Assisting lab users (students/lecturers) in trouble-shooting software and hardware problems.
• Allocating and managing local rights to users.
• Ensuring that security of machines is maintained.
• Installing programs required for lecturers.
• Updating software and operating system versions in the labs from time to time.
• Audiovisual set up and trouble-shooting.
• Computer hardware and software maintenance.

Experience

No experience is required but enthusiasm in computers is critical to the job and internship.
