- Examine payment vouchers and ensure they are well supported before payments are made.
- Confirming for the correct postings to the ledger and the cash book.
- Confirming the availability of funds before authorising expenditure for DSPs.
- Examining the accuracy of student refunds before payments are made.
- Carry out audit assignments as scheduled in the audit plan.
- Carry out audit investigations and report findings.
- Undertaking surprise cash counts and stock verifications.
- Issuance of accountable documents and updating the records.
- Documenting and audit queries and responses arising in the course of the pre audits.
- Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Job Specification
- Possess a minimum of a first degree in Bachelor of Commerce ( accounting or Finance) or its equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years auditing experience in a large organization.
- Possess CPA II or equivalent.
- Possess relevant computer and analytical skills
- Good knowledge of risk based auditing methodologies, ISA and IFRSs
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of Management and Employees.
- Ability to work under pressure and long hours including weekend.
2. Assistant Manager (Bookstore)

Reports to Bookstore Manager
Job Description:
- In-charge of all shop floor operations
- Coordinating all activities of the shop floor including cleanliness of the bookstore and materials for sale
- In- charge of customer care operations
- In-charge of marketing activities
- Carrying out market survey and vendor rating
- Creation of daily cash and credit sales reports
- Work closely with the Accountant and Bookstore Manager
Job Specification:
- Bachelor of Commerce (marketing) option
- At least five years experience in a large bookstore or retail shop
- Ability to work long hours with minimum supervision
- Good inter-personal and communication skills
- Computer literate
3. Head Cook

- High quality food production that meet stringent standards and consistently maintained
- To ensure that high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained
- To ensure that stocks used for production are accurately accounted for
- Work closely with the managers to plan menus that would attract and retain customers
- To ensure efficient service delivery is maintained in the kitchen
- To ensure food variety is provided and it meets every customers expectation and specification
- To ensure that kitchen equipment and crockery is properly maintained
- To plan, direct and supervise the activities of all kitchen staff
- To develop and demonstrate proper use of standard recipes
- Analyzing cost margins and control costs of production
- Identify training needs of cooks and other kitchen staff
- Ensure world – class customer service is provided
Job Specification:
- Diploma in Food Production or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Minimum three (3) years work experience as a Head Cook/Chef in a busy 3 to 4 star restaurant
- Ability to guide and supervise staff
- Must be conversant with food and beverage cost control and accountability
- Other certificates relevant to the job i.e kitchen supervision will be an added advantage Computer literate
- Innovative and quality conscious
- Good food presentation skills
- KCSE C+
- Ability to work under pressure& long hours.
4. Waiter / Waitress

Reports to Food and Beverage Supervisor
Job Description:
- Receiving customers and providing timely service of food and beverage
- Maximizing sales and achieving targets set by the supervisor
- Taking food and beverage orders and service of meals to customers.
- Providing product information to customers on menu items, cooking methods and ingredients making recommendations upon request
- Providing excellent customer service and reporting customer concerns/complaints to supervisors for action.
- Accounting for crockery and equipment used in the restaurant and outside catering services
- Bill settlement.
Job Specification:
- Certificate in food and beverage & sales from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 2 years work experience as a waiter/waitress in a 3 or 4 star restaurant or hotel
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Up selling skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer literate
- KCSE C
- Ability to work under pressure& long hours
