Reporting To: Country Director
Base: Nairobi, With Frequent Travel To Program Areas
Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. Concern Worldwide is seeking a qualified and committed individual for a Human Resource Manager position for its Somalia/Somaliland programme. The incumbent will be based in Nairobi with frequent travel to programme areas in Somalia/Somaliland.
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources in relation to national staff, and as a member of the Country Management Team (CMT), the HR Manager has the following job objective: to develop and implement good HR practices; and to support senior managers in the continuous development and application of procedures for effective people management.
Qualification and Experience
- A post graduate degree or its equivalent in management (qualification in Human Resource Management is an advantage)
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the HR Management field
- Previous work experience with an international NGO in a similar capacity
- Good computer skills to allow for reporting and presentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel (security permitting) to Concern’s program areas in Somalia/Somaliland
